Efficacy of ASPEREX®

Efficacy of ASPEREX®. ..

General efficiencyASPEREX®

The effectiveness of the ASPEREX® system treatment is based on 3 mechanisms of action:

  • Antimicrobial effect due to formic acid (Formic Acid)
  • Pathogen-inhibiting preventive effect due to a. Chitosan biopolymer complex.
  • Pathogen-repellent lotus effect on the treated surface.

The effectiveness of an ASPEREX® system treatment is illustrated by the result of the following experimental design:

  • A Petri dish is supersaturated with a microbial cocktail (standard pathogen cocktail). This contains the following pathogens, among others:

Staphylococcus aureus is the most dangerous of the numerous species of staphylococci. It often causes skin infections, but can also cause pneumonia.
Staphylococcus aureus is found almost everywhere in nature, including on the skin and mucous membranes of warm-blooded animals - in 25 to 30% of all people, for example, on the skin and in the upper respiratory tract. Staphylococcus aureus is also found in food and in water.

  • Now a round filter is placed floating on the pathogen solution
  • 0.2mL ASPEREX® ANTI-MOLD SPRAY FA is now pipetted into the center of the filter, followed directly by 0.2mL ASPEREX® PREVENTIVE GEL (Fig. 1).
  • A classic, alcohol-based disinfection treatment (Fig.2), as well as treatment with pure water (blind - Fig.3), serves as a reference.
  • Now incubate at 25°C for 72h and subsequently assess pathogen growth in general (see following figures).

The place of vaccination with the preparation or blind is marked with a red arrow.

Conclusion:

It can be noted that a system treatment with ASPEREX® provides significantly better inhibition compared to classic anti-mold agents, such as those based on ethanol. The effect is both more intensive and longer lasting.

Efficiency aspects tracked: reduction of black mold due to ASPEREX®

Conclusion:

ASPEREX®is highly efficient, especially against black mold.

Efficiency aspects tracked: reduction of chalk mold due to ASPEREX®

ASPEREX® was systemically applied with 0.2mL each of ASPEREX® ANTI-MOLD SPRAY FA and ASPEREX® PREVENTIVE GEL were applied to a culture plate supersaturated with chalk mold and incubated for 72 hours. A culture medium supersaturated with chalk mold, which was inoculated with 0.2mL of ethanolic reference product, served as a reference. Subsequently, the microbial growth was evaluated.

Conclusion:

ASPEREX®is highly effective against chalk mold.
